Service overview
AC Installation across Torrance & the South Bay.
Right-sized central AC and split systems. Manual J load calculation done in-house — no oversold tonnage. Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Bryant, Mitsubishi.
The biggest installation mistake I see across the South Bay is oversizing. A 5-ton system in a 1,400 sq ft Old Torrance bungalow short-cycles, never dehumidifies, and burns through compressors. I'll talk you out of more system than you need.
What I see most often on a AC installation call
- Oversized systems. common in the South Bay because contractors overestimate to avoid callbacks. Cost: short-cycling, humidity, dead compressors at year 8.
- Cheap refrigerant lines. soft copper kinks during install. The whole system runs starved for refrigerant, masquerading as 'just needs a top-off' for years.
- Skipped ductwork inspection. new condenser bolted to old leaky ducts. You paid for 4 tons of cold air; half of it ends up in the attic.
- Wrong refrigerant. if you've got an old R-22 system and the contractor doesn't replace the line set on a swap, you've contaminated the new unit.
How AC installation works with me
Free in-home estimate. Manual J load calc included. 10-year manufacturer parts + 2-year labor on full installs. Most central AC swaps are a one-day job. Heat pumps + ductwork run two days.
You get a flat-rate quote in writing before any work begins. If I'm late to the agreed window, the diagnostic is free. No call centers, no hard sells — just my truck, my number, and 22+ years of South Bay HVAC experience.
