York systems in Lomita run into a specific set of patterns that don't show up the same way inland or in other beach cities. York used to be a top-tier brand in the 1990s. The current Johnson Controls York is competent but not exceptional — equivalent to mid-tier Goodman or Heil. I service York systems all the time (lots of 1990s installs around the South Bay), but it wouldn't be my first recommendation on a new install. Honest equipment, just nothing distinguishing.
